Il dispositivo è dotato di robuste funzioni firewall e di quattro (4) porte switch 10/100Mbps con funzione di riconoscimento automatico della velocità. Il gateway consente agli utenti di condividere file, accessi a Internet e periferiche e può essere facilmente configurato e gestito mediante un semplice programma di configurazione assistita e un'utile interfaccia basata sul web. Necessita di un modem Ethernet ADSL esterno per il collegamento a Internet come il D-Link DSL-300T. Con l'access point per LAN wireless e lo switch a 10/100mbps incorporati, il DI-624+ fornisce la connessione a computer, workstation e server con o senza la connessione a mezzo di cavi di rete. La caratteristica di apparato "ALL IN ONE" garantisce una semplice installazione e salvaguarda i costi in quanto non è necessario acquistare un ulteriore access point o uno switch per connettere gli utenti alla rete.
