    A leading company within the Automotive / Motorsport field, with HQ in Emilia Romagna, Italy, is currently searching for a STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS ENGINEER You will be engaged in structural and optimization analysis of vehicle components (both mechanical and composite such as inboard suspensions, transmissions or bodycar, gear box ecc.) in order to achieve weight minimization and reliability, endurance and safety maximization. The role’s activities are linear and non linear FEM analysis, development of automatic structural optimization using specific sw or methodologies, scripting development or programming for experimental data analysis and correlation. The ideal candidate have an Engineering degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical background), and Motorsport, Automotive or similar context proven experience (minimum two years). Ability to use software and tools for structural analysis such as Hypermesch/Hyperworks, Nastran, Abaqus, Optistruct and Matlab/Phyton for programming are as well relevant requirements for the role. The AE conducts customer consultations, pre-sales feasibility studies, product field trials, training and on-site post-delivery support. The AE works with Integrators, OEM's and End Users in a consultative manner to determine the feasibility and fit of company for their applications. The AE works closely with Application Engineering Management and Product Management to ensure alignment of customer applications with product direction. Essential Functions: Conducts customer consultations. Produces Site Visit Reports for each customer visited. Performs a gap analysis on potential applications. Creates prototype and demo applications. Recommends third party hardware for complete solutions where needed. Performs application testing on customer supplied images. Follows the life cycle of paid services from quoting, execution, customer acceptance through invoicing. Supports tradeshows. Provides customer training. Provides application development services.Develops a broad knowledge of company products and their use in machine vision applications. Provides product feedback to Application Engineering Management and Product Management. Timely and accurate expense reporting and trip documentation. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good presentation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle challenging customer situations. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and industrial automation systems. Working knowledge and ease with using computing devices running Linux, Windows and/or OS X. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, occasionally on short notice.
